James Channing

JAMES CHANNING* (MR. SALT) James is excited to return to the factory in his first production at The Engeman! Previous credits include Tarzan (Kerchak), Hunchback of Notre Dame (Ensemble/Frollo u/s), and the regional premiere of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (Mr. Salt) at Tuacahn Amp., as well as the regional premiere of Desperate Measures (Sheriff Green) at Winter Park Playhouse. Before moving to NYC, he was a cast member at Walt Disney World in Florida for 7 years, performing in Beauty and the Beast (Gaston), The Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show (Kimo), and for 5 of those years, he worked full time at Finding Nemo the Musical (Bruce/Mr Ray) in Animal Kingdom. When not performing theatrically, you can find him playing piano and singing as 1/2 of the duo “James & Sonia,” performing on rivers and cruise ships around the country with his partner, both on stage and in life. All the love to his family and friends, without whom he would be unable to get through this thing known as show business. And, of course, to Sonia, who makes coming home the most exciting part of any day.
